Peace Action, Training and Research Institute of Romania (PATRIR)

The PATRIR has nearly two decades of experience working internationally in peace-building; post-war peace consolidation, and stabilisation, including DDR and exit programs for former combatants and armed forces; strategic conflict and risk analysis; mediation and peace processes; and addressing radicalisation and violent extremism on-the-ground and in cyberspace.

IM Cultural Institute

Created in 2008 and has the objective of empowering people through the development of programs that use Education, Media, Image and Collective Memory as a means of social intervention and people capacitation. It develops educational programs that capacitate people to develop their critical thinking and active citizen skills. In this context, image, media literacy, and historical memory acquire a preponderant role in the projects developed by IM Cultural. 

Peace Education Institute (RKI)

Works to strengthen and build resilience and trust in society. It encourages active and participatory citizenship and solving everyday life’s conflicts in a nonviolent manner. RKI is about making power structures and privileges visible and recognising, managing, and transforming hate speech, racism, and exclusion in educators’ work.

Centro Internazionale per la Promozione dell’Educazione e lo Sviluppo (CEIPES)

International non-profit association founded in Palermo in 2007. It promotes non-formal education as a fundamental tool in the education of youth and adults and complementary to formal education. CEIPES promotes personal and community development through learning mobility. It creates new innovative tools and methodologies to encourage intercultural dialogue, promote peace and human rights.

CITCEM/Porto University

Founded in 2007, is an R&D Unit based at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto. Anchored in the wider field of the humanities and social sciences, U PORTO/CITCEM operates as a transdisciplinary research platform, exploring the close connections between several disciplines, such as history, archaeology, art history, cultural and literary studies, demography, information, communication, and heritage sciences, amongst others.

Young Educators – European Association

European non-governmental and nonprofit European Organisation with headquarters in Portugal. The main goal is to promote Education, Entrepreneurship, Human Rights, and Active Citizenship. Our mission is to empower young people, with special attention to marginalised groups and people with fewer opportunities, low social-economic status, people with disabilities, and people with migrant backgrounds.

International Institute for Nonviolent Action (NOVACT)

Promotes international peace-building actions in conflict situations. Through a global network of experts and activists in the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia, the Institute supports nonviolent movements working for change and social transformation and develops nonviolent interventions to protect vulnerable communities in conflict situations.

MUZEON

Innovative Jewish History Museum in Cluj focused on storytelling. The mission of the museum is to be a place of active reflection on the memory of the Jewish community in Cluj from the 19th and 20th centuries and their contribution to the local culture. It is the first such museum in Romania. It uses storytelling and biographies to bring Jewish history into the rightful place of the history of Transylvania and open a conversation about the difficult history of the Second World War in Transylvania.
